Welcome to Fishable. These Terms of Service explain how you may use our website, app and related features. By using Fishable you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Fishable is operated by Download Media Ltd, 272 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4JR, United Kingdom. Fishable Ltd is a registered name that may become the operating company in future. Any reference to we or us means Download Media Ltd.

1. What Fishable is

Fishable provides tools and features for anglers and outdoor professionals including:

Fishing logbook and trip tracker

Catch recording and photo uploads

Weather data and insights

Maps and location based features

Waitlist and account system

Community features including profiles, likes, comments and following

Educational content and fishing related information

Future subscription features

Fishable is designed for recreational and professional use. It should not be used for safety critical decisions or navigation.

2. Who can use Fishable

You must be at least 16 to create an account. Users under 16 require verified parental consent. By creating an account you confirm that all information you provide is accurate.

Fishable may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login and password secure. If you believe someone else has access to your account, you must tell us immediately.

We may suspend or remove accounts that are inactive, abusive or unsafe.

4. Acceptable use rules

You agree not to:

Break any UK laws when using Fishable

Upload harmful, abusive, violent or illegal content

Post or share copyrighted images you do not own

Misuse location data

Attempt to damage or disrupt the Service

Create multiple accounts to manipulate features

Use Fishable for commercial fishing marketing without permission

We may remove any content that breaks these rules.

5. User generated content

You can upload photos, catch logs, descriptions and profile information. You keep ownership of the content you upload.

By posting content you give us a licence to store, display and process it within Fishable. This licence ends when the content is deleted.

We may remove any content that is unsafe or inappropriate.

6. Location features

Fishable can use location data from your uploads or when you manually select a location.

We do not track your real time movement.

Location accuracy may vary and should not be used for navigation or safety decisions.

7. Weather and data accuracy

Weather forecasts, maps and insights are provided by third parties such as OpenWeather and map providers.

We cannot guarantee complete accuracy of any weather, catch prediction or environmental data.

8. Paid features and subscriptions

Fishable may offer paid features or subscriptions in future. These may include advanced insights, analytics or fishery management tools.

If subscriptions are introduced:

Prices will be shown before purchase

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled

You may cancel at any time through your app store settings

Refunds follow the rules of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store

We may change pricing with notice

Free accounts will continue to work unless stated otherwise.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

Break these Terms

Post harmful or illegal content

Threaten other users

Attempt to disrupt the Service

If your account is removed, we may delete your data after the retention period described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Third party services

Fishable uses trusted providers to operate the Service including:

Supabase, database, authentication, storage

OpenWeather, weather information

Apple Maps and Google Maps, map and location data

Email providers

Analytics and crash reporting tools when added

These providers may process certain data on our behalf.

11. Intellectual property

The Fishable name, logo, design, images, features and code are owned by Download Media Ltd. You may not copy, distribute or reverse engineer the app or website.

12. Limits on our responsibility

We provide Fishable on an as is and as available basis.

We do not promise the Service will always be available or error free.

We are not responsible for:

Losses caused by incorrect weather or location information

Damage caused by user uploaded content

Any loss resulting from misuse of the Service

Fishing or outdoor safety decisions made using the app

Loss of data caused by factors outside our control

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, negligence or anything that cannot be limited under UK law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Changes apply when posted on our website or app.

Your continued use means you agree to the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, United Kingdom.

Any disputes will be handled by the Scottish courts.
